BROKER RECRUITING

Why Agents Ignore Your Recruiting Calls and Texts

The problem may be the approach rather than the agent

Broker-owners often assume agents are not interested because they do not answer recruiting calls, texts, or emails. In reality, many agents are simply tired of receiving similar messages from multiple companies. A generic invitation to discuss an opportunity sounds like one more interruption, especially when the agent has not expressed any desire to move.

Cold outreach asks the agent to stop what they are doing, trust an unfamiliar message, and give time to a conversation they did not request. Even a strong brokerage can struggle when the first interaction feels like pursuit. More attempts do not necessarily create more interest; they can create more resistance.

Attraction changes the starting point. Capped places the brokerage's message in front of agents and gives interested prospects a path to learn more, qualify, and schedule a conversation. The agent takes the first meaningful step. By the time the broker joins the call, the conversation is no longer an interruption. It is an appointment the agent selected.
